Thanks for visiting our brand spanking new website. This is a work in progress, an experiment without a version number. Things will change and evolve over time once we figure out what we want to do with this thing. One thing’s for sure—calling this a beta would be just lazy. We don’t wanna be like that, do we? "
Introducing: Mikko Kutvonen
First milestone of our recruitment efforts of 2013 was reached, and Mikko started here last week. Skip to the end for an recruitment update!
First, a sincere thanks to everyone who sent in an application. We met many of you, and actually had really good conversations with most of the invited. The first* part of our recruitment process was decided just a little over week ago, and we invited Mikko to start right away. Since he just finished his [...]
Hiring a Designer
Last year was kind to us — we started relationships with amazing new clients and released some best work of our careers. The year 2013 is starting to look of pretty much the same caliber — and to make things even better, we're looking to hire a designer to help us go where we want to go.
Who are we looking for? First, you have to be a really good designer. By “good designer”, we mean things like experience in years, point of view on what you do and experience in variety of work — in media and type. As an organization we are rather flat and have very low tolerance for [...]
Weeknote 263
Windows 8, Finnair, Zombies at Wowzapp Hackathon, launch of Finlex.fi and multitude of projects.
There’s too many things and projects that have been done, that I can’t tell in detail about all of them or this post will never end.
Weeknote 256
What happens in Redmond doesn’t stay in Redmond — or in other words — how we became the go-to Windows 8 designers in Finland.
In addition to cranking out Windows 8 applications all the time here at home, we had the luxury to attend an official Windows 8 Train The Trainer event at Microsoft’s premises in Redmond, USA. We are the first and only ones from Finland who’ve had this privilege.
Weeknote 254
Design for startups, launching Ruutu.fi, iPad first vs. Windows 8 first
Dang, August was busy! We were hammering projects left and right in August. That’s why some weeknotes were missed again. Nevermind, let’s see what we’ve done recently.
Weeknote 251
Why design for Windows 8 Modern UI, and how Netflix & HBO just disrupted the Finnish TV industry.
We’ve been into Windows 8. Just recently we’ve done two application concepts and one actual application for Windows 8. The application was called “the best one we’ve seen” in Microsoft design review. That’s nice. Who did the other apps?
Weeknote 250
Core77 2012 Design Awards, babies, cities, copycats and whatnot.
Long summer hiatus is over and we are back at work and rocking and rolling again. Let’s recap some things through May, June & July.
Talk: Stories, Behaviour and Purpose @ Mashable Innovation Series / BMW Guggenheim Labs Berlin
I recently gave a talk in Berlin about cities, design and technology and since most services made for sharing presentations suck, here is the talk fully transcribed and noted. In case you still want your Slideshare or Speakerdeck-link, see the links at the bottom of the page. Thank you Jennifer & others at Mashable and [...]
Weeknote 236
Boom! We make future happen. This week’s weeknote is self-congratulatory.
We were awakened to a realisation of our current line-up of projects which are simply awesome.
Weeknote 235
Connected TV, Winning and Bi-Winning at #grandone
God damn, weeks just fly when you’re waiting for the Spring and dodging the snowy comebacks of the Winter. Luckily we’re not the only ones. But let’s give it a go again.
